Professor Beckham: Good afternoon, Kate. Please, sit down. I have some important things to tell you.

Kate: OK! What’s happen?

Professor Beckham: Your essay has some problems. Are these your own ideas?

Kate: No at all. Some sentence I found it on internet.

Professor Beckham: That’s the problem. Your plagiarism by copying others peoples sentences right into your essay. But you didn’t write down where you get it. That’s cheating. It is illegal, so I didn’t give any score to your essay.

Kate: What? I didn’t know that before. I’m sorry about that.

Now, many universities copied the article, there are inadvertent plagiarism, there are deliberate plagiarism, and some even copied the writer's thinking. Plagiarism is a very serious problem in the United States. It may even affect your learning career, and the future. So, I think student plagiarism is so dangerous. We must know how to correct cite other people’s word and idea.

How has western culture influenced your own country???what have been the pluses and the minuses of western influence?
Western culture already had certain influence to China! But, Chinese culture and Western culture are two distinct civilizations. Specially in education aspect! Now in China, many place educational institution all start adopt to West's education! The western teaching can let the students study independently, form the better study habit, achieves the better study benefit! The only shortcoming is, the Western education is not all suits to each people, the independence understood ability not good students. Like the movie, the pushman doesn’t understand the our culture. So I think as different culture background and enviroment, there are many difference and divergences between Chinese culture and Western culture.

This essay talk about Laura Carey living in Barcelona, she teaching English and study Spanish. First of all, she join such groups, it's hard to join. In addiation, she come to learning Spanish and Teach English, she study hard, but she felt situation, hei student segregate themselves by nationality/ she don't understand, why the students do that. Third, some times she feel fear, Barcelona is different than U.S. She feel the cultural. Finally, she know her student have different program, she try to know it. The last paragraph talk about herself.
So, i think she have a lot of gawky in Spain, we can learn more experience from this essay and can help you how to survive in other country.

I disagree we don't care about another countries culture. Because different countries have different culture and historical. These things behalf of their own traditions, it isn't just conerned with their own traditions and beliefs. We should care about other counties. We are live in the same earth. We must understand each other and help each other people. i think we are the same.

Dead Poets Societ

This is the story of students at the respected "Welton Academy," a preparatory school in Vermont. Such schools were very conservative institutions that serve as high schools for parents who insist on sending their children to the best universities. Welton, like many prep schools, only boys can living there. Mr. Keating, he tell his students call him “captain, my captain”, his a young and exciting English and poetry teacher, he teaches his students to challenge the idea around them. Mr. Keating answer his students about the "Dead Poet's Society," a secret poetry, Mr. Keating had created many years earlier when he was a student at Welton, would be completely unacceptable to the school, he ask his students from "thinking for themselves." By the way, Welton students should be in their rooms, studying only the teachers assign. Neil want to be a actor, but his father upset him, then Neil decide to commit suicide. The school need a scapegoat, ther fire out, Mr. Keating. But his students stand on the table tell him, his is admirable teacher，in their own way, does this and are changed for life.

This film deals 5 parts, first part is talk about Weldon Academy is a very school, just boy in there, and in this school teaching is very traditional, everybody needs to listen to their professors. second parts explains Mr.Keating uses the different way to teach his students. Third parts talk about Mr.Keating’s students broke the rule, they’re never sleep in evening and make a group that called Dead Poet’s Society. Fourth part tell us Mr.Keating’ s students Neil wants to be an actor, but his father never understand him, then Neil kill himself by a gun. The last part Mr.Keating leave the school, but his student stand on desk to representation them how much they love this spicily teacher!

Culture Shock

It's simply a common way to describe the confusing and nervous feelings a person may have after leaving a familiar culture to live in a new and different culture. When you move to a new place, you're bound to face a lot of changes. That can be exciting and stimulating, but it can also be overwhelming. You feel sad,anxious,frustrated, and want to go home.

American Culture is one of Western culture. There areCultural diversity : First, a nation of immigrants; second, Culture Pluralism in the United States; finally, Making Generalizations about American Beliefs.

The Visitor

The Visitor is a simmering drama about a college professor and recent widower, Walter Vale (Jenkins), who discovers a pair of illegal aliens who were the victims of a real-estate scam living in his New York apartment. After the mix-up is resolved, Vale invites the couple--a young, Syrian musician named Tarek (Haaz Sleiman) and his Senegalese girlfriend (Danai Gurira)--to stay with him. An unlikely friendship develops between the retiring, quiet Vale and the vibrant Tarek, and the former begins to loosen up and respond to Tarek's drumming lessons as if something in him waiting to be liberated has finally been unleashed. All goes well until Tarek is hauled in by immigration authorities and threatened with deportation. His mother, Mouna (Hiam Abbass), turns up and stays with Vale, sparking a renewed if subdued interest in courtship. However, the wheels of injustice in immigration crush all manner of hopes in post-9/11 America. Vale soon realizes that he has unexpected anger over Tarek's plight, and the positive changes to his personal life that emerged from a deep involvement with his friend and Mouna might be the only legacy he takes from this experience.
